To Canada’s most urbane city comes a restaurant with a menu that is rural to its roots. Owned by Chef Michael Hunter : @thehunterchef, and Jody Shapiro : @jodyagram, Antler aims to celebrate the wild culinary delights of Canada.
Red Seal Executive Chef Michael Hunter has shaped Antler around an authentic creation of his food, cooking style and philosophy. Having grown up in the Canadian Outdoors, his use of regional ingredients and dishes reflect the Canadian Terroir. Antler taps the tastes, flavours and aromas of our glorious near-north.
Wild Food and Foraged Cocktails
At Antler the goal is to serve innovative Canadian cuisine with entrees such as Spice Ash Crusted Rack of Deer, and a Game Burger made with Wild Boar, Bison, Deer; Pastas such as Pappardelle with Braised Rabbit, Buttered Leeks, Verjus Apricot Preserve and Parmesan Cheese; and appetizers like Wild Boar Lumpia, and Chanterelle Mushroom Tarte Tatin.
We celebrate the wild culinary delights of Canada by serving our cocktails using foraged ingredients, house made nose to tail charcuterie platters, and on occasion, cook game meats over an open fire pit, in true rustic style.
